Untitled section
[edit]History. This University is linked in Wikipedia to the gas project in world war 1. According to Theo Emery Hellfire Boys page 50 onward, the American University was a Protestant University. It was founded as a rival to the Catholic University of America, had never prospered. It offered its grounds to the gas project.
The Catholic University was also used in this project. But the main campus was the Protestant school. Not the Catholic one.
