Your question

[edit]

Usually, that's just a problem with your computer not updating (it has to clear its cache). If you're using Internet Explorer, try pressing Cntrl+F5 a few times (not sure what the refresh command is in other browsers). If the problem continues, then ask at the Wikipedia:Help desk. Rest assured, the article has not been lost. Best wishes, Meelar (talk) 22:10, Nov 21, 2004 (UTC)

Your subsequent question

[edit]

As for the vertical bar, that's called piping. Essentially, it makes a look appear to be whatever is after the pipe, yet clicking on the link will take you to what's before the pipe. For example, this American will look like this: American. As for the Special:Newpages question, I'm afraid I don't know. I'd check the help desk, if I were you. Best, Meelar (talk) 17:52, Nov 22, 2004 (UTC)

Consulta: Wikimedia Colombia

[edit]

Hola, Lcgarcia:

Carlos Th (talk) 18:28, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bien.

your question

[edit]

hola Lcgarcia, thank you for your message and thank you for fighting vandalism. Yes, I think you did well to revert those edits on Leopold II of Belgium. What you normally do, you just revert the edits by a vandal by going back to the last unvandalised version. In the edit summary below, it's best to explain what exactly you have done in order for everyone to see you reversed a vandalism rightly. Normally this is written like "rv vandalism by User:....... to last version by User:.....". Best also to contact that vandal and slap a warning on the talk page (not the user page). If you need help which template and warning needs to be used for a first-vandal, you can take a look here Template:TestTemplates, which should help you see which warning goes best. if you have further questions, feel free to ask and good luck. thanks again for fighting vandalism. A tag has been placed on Zafira (actress) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Trade and Environment Database-TED requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Trade and Environment Database-TED has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing dated prod will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 00:40, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:26, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ipomoea carnea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Se (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:23, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Speedy deletion nomination of Illuminati (Roman)

[edit]

Hello Lcgarcia,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Illuminati (Roman) for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Deletion discussion about Illuminati (Roman Academy)

[edit]

Hello, Lcgarcia,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Illuminati (Roman Academy) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Illuminati (Roman Academy) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
